Didn't they have an open carry, while the riots were happening?

You can have my weapon when I am dead, careful though, the barrel's gonna be hot.

Well that completely defeats the purpose. A permit? The whole point is to do what the 2nd amendment is supposed to allow them to do without rule or regulation. Kind of a "one step forward two steps back" deal.

while i get what you are saying and agree to a point, it seems to me there are different tactics required for different events. if you are a quickly responding to spontaneous emergent threats to a community, i.e. the riots last year, one should respond on constitutional grounds, leo's opinion be damned. if however your intent is to plan a day on a calendar for a PR event during a peaceful moment in time for the purposes of educating local and national public, then why not get leo's on board to maintain a calm nonconfrontational activity?

pick your battles and adapt strategies to the situation is my thoughts but by all means, i apreciate the comments.

I don't plan on dyin'.

I mean, yes, it is definitely a possibility, but I'd rather shoot 'n scoot to get some more.

My plan is to be the biggest pain in the ass possible.

I was being sarcastic on the "permit for your right" remark.
