Do you think the constitution or the Declaration of independence is the document we should live by ? Can't be both, cause they are worlds apart in many aspects. (caution, this could be a false paradigm.)

Yes, I do. And my expectation is that 3%ers agree. Its pretty simple, the 3% organization espouses the continuation of the ideals espoused in our founding documents. Unless my understanding is 180 degrees backward. If so, maybe I need to cut out the ink. If what you are saying represents the majority of folks in the III movement.

I only speak for myself, but the constitution seems to promote taxing the crap out of us slaves, under the threat of violence. Not to mention killing the treason bastards, wether they consented to the whole deal or not. The declartion does not seem to promote those two particular crimes. I view it as a very honest question and a productive one as well.

That's because originally it was understood that
you can't tax a free people, but you can tax foreigners
with tariffs to finance the Federal Government, and
it still is! All the IRS taxes goes to pay interest to the
Private Central Bank know as the Federal Reserve!

Nice post indeed. Let me throw this out there. Something that has been rolling around in my brain for a little while and possibly a lot of others but I haven't read anyone talk about it. What about those who are not of the mindset we are today? If and when that day comes, lights going out, etc. How will we treat those people who only change their minds after things go south? What about that guy down the street that used to think you were a little off because you owned so many guns? Part of me at first just wants to say to hell with that guy he was warned. But then again if his views have changed and has some skillsets that are useful he could prove to be a valuable asset. My point is are we going to hoard our hardware or "take in" those who may have not been prepared or like minded but are willing to under new circumstances?

Hello all, new here and I realize this is an old post (I am trying to read some of the stuff that has been posted here). I've given this some thought also. I've decided that my household will not likely take anyone in, unless they can provide something of value. I am however, trying to set aside some give-aways. Not much, but some food, salt, candies, things like that. If they "decide" they want more than I am willing to offer, well that would be a bad choice.

Folks have been screaming for years now and we are still labeled as kooks. I must admit, when things go sideways it will be interesting to watch and tough not to "We told you so" and watch them squirm.

The way I see it if all shit goes south and civilized order is broken down to extinction then it will be up to the factions to create their ownsmall militias or communities. That is where the guns will be brought into play. Pledge your gun to a militia or community and you are there to protect that community. I am sure that different communities could do trade or barter but they would be independent. Think of it like the tribe of Indians of old. They were all Indians but had different languages. They also warred a lot, but they generally stayed in their own AO.

You can have my weapon when I am dead, careful though, the barrel's gonna be hot.

Wow!!! A kid said that. You must not have been educated in the public school system or something. Thers not alot of options for the youth to gain a good common sence education that would allow a post like that to written. You have to have some awsome parrents.

Instead of trying to fix the damage that Obama caused, we should be trying to fix the damage that allowed Obama to be president.

Nice post indeed. I believe most of those here that read your post will most likely "be the glue" or at the very least make every effort to be. I've read statistics that out of every 100 Americans there are something like 90 guns. That may be very close to truth however, It's probably more because out of those 100 there are 30 or 40 Americans that own multiple guns that makes up the difference. My point is are we going to hoard our hardware or "take in" those who may have not been prepared or like minded but are willing to under new circumstances? I'm interested to hear all your comments because quite honestly I'm struggling with my own answers.

This really is a loaded question here. The problem is that the sheep will go on being sheep and the wolves will go on being wolves. We are the dogs of this country and it is our job to keep the sheep safe from the wolves as they know not how to defend themselves. I believe that when the time comes, given an opportunity I will protect my sheep to the best of my ability. Will I be able to save every sheep I hope so, but if there are few lost, then it is the price paid to save the many. Give US liberty or give US death. If we do not stand for those who are bound to chairs than what do we stand for. Our constitution is for the people not the person. Will I protect my own ass, you bet but I willl also try to protect those around me. We do what we can and hope it's enough.

Screw all the patriotic quotations, I'm an American plain and simple. Don't like what we got going on, get the hell out, or be prepared to face the music - and I don't listen to your style of music.

Reality is that many will only become ready to plan, prepare, and fight if necessary once they are personally affected. ..we must be open minded to benifit from what these people bring to table,it would be an enormous shame to allow our own personal pride and ego block the resources that could be available. .in the name of survival of our society we will simply have to handle these people and situations on a case by case bases, ,,,we must find healthy balance between ego, pride and necessity. ..there is a definite strength in numbers,,,

If you want to read something that will scare the $#&* out of you, read " One Second After" by William R. Forstchen.

This book will give you a good idea of how things will unfold. I've thought about this myself for a long time and said a few things about it to some people and they all thought I was nuts. Things will get real ugly, real fast, especially if you live in the city ( read Cyberstorm by Matthew Mather). I think it will take getting with like minded people and working together and then try and hold on. Water and food will be the things people will kill you over.

What I fear if that the supplies I have put away, if I bring them out and people will go and tell others about them. Then the wolves will come for them, "Loose Lips Sink Ships", kind of thing. TRUST... who WILL you trust and who CAN you trust.

AMMO ... LOTS and LOTS of ammo! winking smiley

We swore an oath to the consitution, which begins with We the People.

We are the sheepdogs. The Sons and Guardians of Liberty. It's our duty to protect the weak. Without that, we are no better than animals, looking out for us and ours only. That's what wolves do.

I need some advice.

I have been reading Lights out by Ted Koppel. I have often wondered about how unprotected our physical and cyber grid is. Most of the stations are in an open field with nothing around them.

After reading through the first few chapters last night I unloaded the info I learned on my wife. Not the best move as I only succeeded in making her very depressed and unwilling to discuss it.

For future reference does anyone here have ways to approach these tough subjects with family and loved ones?

I have a really hard time understanding sarcasm...
